Most of us cannot live up to the Hollywood idealism of the holidays. So many of us are struggling yet this is supposed to be the time of year for happiness and joy.
This is my dream class. This is a peek into what I do for myself to keep myself out of a story of loss.

...that’s me. I was raised by an Argentine mother that taught me to divine and use the magic of candles on a dark night. But she is gone now. So during this time of year I find my heart aches in a whole new way than it does during the rest of the year. I was also raised by some lovely Norwegians, who cared for like a granddaughter and I spent many nights in their cozy cabin in the woods (in the High Sierra’s of California) learning about hygge. But they are gone now too.
Where was this experience of magic that I craved and people claimed to have? What do you do when you are grasping at that elusive “holiday spirit” and it just doesn’t seem to exist? Boycott? Join in? Either way it’s hard.
Because I have refused to participate in dysfunctional family relationships, I have found myself alone and sad on many a holiday. On my search for the ideal, I have come to understand that the magic becomes tangible only when the cozy factor is high. Cozy is key. You won’t feel cozy if you have to hang out with your drunk uncle. You won’t feel cozy if you have to sit next to someone at the dinner table who treats you like shit and doesn’t understand who you are.
The baseline is safety. If you don’t feel safe. You can’t feel cozy.
I have designed this for everyone who wants to accept the loss and transform during this time of year.
My special guide is filled with seasonal meditations, storytelling, interviews, creative prompts, delicious recipes and 5 minute energy fixes to get you through.
Whether you are in the midst of a mostly thinned out, singular experience or big family events this little bit of sweetness fits snuggly into your life. Together we will create a movement of cozy.
